It is laid out well, the material interestingly presented, the writing style clear and concise. Technical terms are explained and concepts unpacked carefully. Best of all, the author tells the reader what to look for and reviews with "concept checks"|About the Author|Fred Lutgens and Ed Tarbuck have been good friends and colleagues since 1970.  Between them, they have more than 57 years of experience teaching geology to undergraduates, and both have been recognized with awards as excellent
