On September 9, 2015, the Butte Fire broke out on a wooded hillside near the Jackson Butte, California. That evening it seemed to be under control. But the next day, with changing winds, temperatures upwards of 105 degrees, and after this 5 year drought, the fire whipped out of control. Then with no warning, the local police came with sirens blaring telling them they had to get out now! Facing a wall of fire, they drove out and escaped with only a few of the ranch animal...
